About B.E.C.S.

 

As some of you might have read in Deus Devote, The final stage/place that you got to see in the last 4 Episodes are called: BECS. I'm intrigued to inform you all about it in form of a Q and A of sort.

Q: What is B.E.C.S. ? Is it an intelligence based monitoring agency ?

A: No, B.E.C.S. is an acronym for Breach Encounter Capture Secure. It is an agency that deals with anomalies. Kind of like SCP Foundation or Lobotomy Corp. They capture interdimensional being as well as anomalies that were born in the same universe. Of course like both, anomalies are divided into many many categories... but those aren't too relevant to Deus Devote's plot.

Q: Where B.E.C.S. is located ? Why do they need to use a portal ?

A: B.E.C.S. is located in another universe. Since the Matriarcheons will start attracting unwanted attention if they were created in the same universe as Deus Devote's main universe. Also... Even if it is located in the same universe, it won't be a good ambush strategy to drove a car right into B.E.C.S's underground system.

Q: Who created B.E.C.S. ? Was it always there ?

A: The Matriarcheons built them. It was not there before the Matriarcheons "sneakily invaded" the seemingly normal universe.

Q: What purpose does B.E.C.S. have ? Why do the Matriarcheons do such a thing ?

A: Well... [This contain a spoiler from Season 2, this warning will be replaced if Season 2 has been realeased] tl;dr Matriarcheons need to powers up, build giant facility to construct stuff, and boom.... B.E.C.S. is born.

Q: What happened in the past ? I see Mari and Kyri talked about B.E.C.S. before they go in there...

A: Basically, Mari picks up strange reading from B.E.C.S's universe and ask everyone to join her to investigate. Although they didn't met the Matriarcheons, they were interrogated by B.E.C.S. personnel. They managed to escape with the help of Mari who became bored and starts a manslaughter.

Q: If B.E.C.S. is something like SCP, Why in the entirity of last episodes of Season 1 there is not a single personnel or anomaly inside ?

A: They went to the deepest level of B.E.C.S. This level is where the "heart" or Main Control Room exists and also where they keep the strongest anomalies. During the event of Grandish Showdown or Last Episodes, there are no anomalies there yet. Knowing that Ohoro want to infiltrate B.E.C.S and the incident happened in the past, the Matriarcheons evacuated all living personnel.

Q: Wait, Did you just said... The deepest level has no anomalies ?

A: Yes, No anomalies has yet peaked the Matriarcheon's interest. The deepest are designated to something that will cause the same trouble Mari/an Archdevotee will do to the facility. They called it... The Pandora Class.

Q: But in the episode where Pirara fought Kimi, the door seems able to withstand the combined damage...

A: True, since the past incident the Matriarcheons has reinforced Pandora Level so that an Archdevotee can come in and settle thing their way... also... just between you and me... they "rigged up" B.E.C.S with their "cheat" since if they don't... Tia's rocket would have obliterated half of B.E.C.S or of course... I could be lazy and say they all use 10% of their REAL power (please don't take the 10% statement as true, it is too cheesy and lazy.)

Q: By the way, Stupid Question. Where do they sleep or eat or you know... stuff ?

A: *sigh* They're being of unspeakable powers, of course they no need to do mortal stuff ! Although... Living Quarter do exists in B.E.C.S.
